An IP address is a set of numbers that uniquely identifies a device on a computer network. From the point of view of personal data protection, it can be described as data concerning an identifiable person.

The IP address is transmitted when you submit each of your requests to the server, thanks to which the server has information on where the response to your request should be sent. For this purpose, the IP address is assigned to you by your Internet service provider when you connect to the Internet. The ISP can track which customer the selected IP address was assigned to at a certain point in time. IP addresses are not permanently stored by us or our statistical service providers, but are used in anonymised form solely to determine where the server's response to your request should be sent, as well as to avert possible hacker attacks.
